Short Biography

Nicolai finished his diploma in computer science in 2009 at RWTH Aachen University. In August 2009 he joined the chair of „Communication and Distributed Systems“ as a PhD Student and Research Assistant.

His research focus is on Wi-Fi localization systems in indoor and outdoor environments. He currently investigates on the use of probabilistic path-matching algorithms and radio signal propagation models to increase accuracy and easy the calibration effort of Wi-Fi localization.

Further areas of interest are Sensor Networks and Collaborative Systems.
