Background

In 2019, I moved to Aachen to study Computer Science at RWTH Aachen University. Over the course of my studies, I worked across diverse disciplines — from a six‑month internship working on the ccache project to projects involving speech and EEG signal processing. The work that resonated most was at COMSYS, where I started out as a student research assistant in the Systems Analysis Group under Julian Büning’s supervision.

Research

I am affiliated with the SAFEr Grid project since November 2025. Here are some of the tasks piling up on my desk:

  • Examining existing network topologies and their use cases in the energy grid.
  • Reimagining the energy grid as a digital nervous system.
  • Developing low‑code, event‑driven applications.
  • Simulating energy grid behaviour with OMNeT++.

Theses and HiWi-Jobs

Bachelor’s and Master’s students are welcome to contact me about available thesis topics. If you find my topics of any interest and would like to contribute in any way towards SAFEr Grid, just let me know! Same applies for HiWi-Jobs: If you are interested in working on our project, we often have openings and there’s plenty of room for experimenting. As the latest recruit on this project, my current tasks are still shaping up, you may have a good influence on what happens next! Let me know what makes you tick and attach a transcript of record to your motivation. See you soon!
