Short Biography

Note: this information is outdated and will not be updated any more! In October 2015, I moved to NEC Laboratories Europe. For more up-to-date information about me, see my Google Scholar list of publications or my personal website.

Born: yes.

In September 2008, I joined the Distributed Systems Group at RWTH Aachen as a Ph.D. student, which later became the Chair for Communication and Distributed Systems. My fields of work are error tolerance for network protocols, kernel-based network performance improvements, and rate adaptation.

I finished my studies with the degree of Diplom-Informatiker in August 2008 with a thesis on Xen virtual machine scheduling for network emulation. During my studies, I visited Keio University in Tokyo for a year as a participant in an RWTH–Keio exchange program.
