In year 2007 I finished my Bachelor degree in Telecommunications at the Polytechnical University of Tirana, Albania. As a DAAD scholar I continued my Master studies in Communications Engineering in year 2009 at the RWTH-Aachen University, Germany. The focus during the MSc degree was in wireless communications, especially mobile radio networks. Directly afterwards I am pursuing a PhD degree in wireless communications, specialized on intercell interference coordination. My supervisor is Prof. Dr. James Gross who was also the head of the MNP group until November 2012 and now affiliated to KTH Stockholm.
The research interests rely in modelling the performance of OFDMA-based networks, inter-cell interference coordination, coordinated multipoint and modelling of LTE under the parallel discrete event simulation framework of Horizon. Among others, I also supervise master thesis which are in the same area of interest as my research.
