On July 1st, 2022, Jens Hiller successfully defended his Ph.D. thesis. Congratulations!

COMSYS researcher Jan Pennekamp was recently awarded with the ICT Young Researcher Award 2021 in recognition for his contributions to research related to “Information & Communication Technology” at RWTH Aachen University. In Jan’s dissertation project, supervised by Professor Klaus Wehrle, he focuses on the Industrial Internet of Things, Security & Privacy, and Privacy-Enhancing Technologies.

In November, two former COMSYS students were distinguished in recognition for their Master’s Theses.

We are pleased to announce a virtual guest lecture by Dr. Robin Sommer (CTO Corelight) in the course of our ongoing lecture on Advanced Internet Technology.

At this year’s virtual edition of the “Tag der Informatik”, Erik was awarded with the Berthold Vöcking Master Award for his thesis “Privacy-Preserving Exchange of Process Parameters”. The award’s name is in honor of the former RWTH Prof. Berthold Vöcking who passed away way ahead of time.
