COMSYS gave two presentations at the latest BuildSys conference.

COMSYS is excited to announce a special session on “Collaborative and Inter-organizational Knowledge Generation and Exploitation in the IIoT” at the 8th IEEE International Conference on Industrial Cyber-Physical Systems (ICPS), held from Monday to Thursday, May 12-15, 2025 in Emden, Germany.   We welcome all sorts of submissions (Deadlines: 02-Dec-2024 and 15-Jan-2025)!

How to (really) become a part of the solution.   One forward-looking investment is the recently installed photovoltaic system on the roof of the E3 building section of the Computer Science Department with an output of 75 kWp. The system is one of the most modern and largest within RWTH Aachen University. It is primarily used to generate electricity for the department’s own computers, servers and the entire IT infrastructure.

We mourn for Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Otto Spaniol, the founder of the Chair ‘Informatik 4’, who held it for 26 years from 1984 - 2010.
