COMSYS researcher Marlena Flüh presented her work on FAIR graph retrieval-augmented generation at the IEEE International Conference on Knowledge Graphs (ICKG) 2025 in Limassol, Cyprus.
Marlena introduced FAIR GraphRAG, a retrieval-augmented generation approach for data analysis, adhering to the FAIR principles (Findability, Accessibility, Interoperability, and Reusability) by following a structured, LLM-driven approach for the FAIRification of the underlying knowledge graph. The concept was evaluated on a medical dataset from the domain of gastroenterology. This work is a joint result of DSMA and the University Hospital RWTH Aachen.
ICKG 2025 offered many networking possibilities with other PhD students and researchers. There was also time to visit cultural UNESCO sites and enjoy the beautiful landscapes of Cyprus.
