Second Chamber Concert at COMSYS

For the second time, COMSYS hosted an evening filled with music and joy, organized by members of the choir and orchestra of RWTH Aachen University’s Collegium Musicum.
On Saturday, November 15th, COMSYS provided its rooms and infrastructure for a second time to a group of highly motivated members of RWTH Aachen University’s Collegium Musicum (CM). The CM consists of a choir and an orchestra of mostly students associated with the university, staging concerts to the public every semester. Since music in all shapes and colors is a passion for many of its members, the CM additionally organizes an internal chamber concert evening, enabling a stage for all members to perform their favorite pieces of music and entertainment.
The evening was supervised by COMSYS member Justus Breyer, who also happens to be an active member of the CM. As a special twist to the event’s structure, every audience member at one point has to appear on stage. Thus, the 85 participants were also able to watch and listen to Justus jamming along on the CM’s double bass. With overall more than 30 different contributions, spanning over two sets of roughly 1.5 hours each with a dinner break in between, the concert was deemed a great success by all participants. However, the musical enthusiasts were not to stop after this marathon and continued playing and singing music and enjoying the provided infrastructure until the early morning hours.
