COMSYS @ e-Energy 2025
COMSYS joined this year’s edition of e-Energy with two of our researchers presenting their recent work on energy informatics.
Marking the beginning of COMSYS’ sustained efforts in the broad area of energy informatics, Justus Breyer and René Glebke participated in ACM’s flagship conference on Future and Sustainable Systems held in the city of Rotterdam, NL, each presenting their most recent advances in their respective research areas.
Justus presented a variety of practical insights for developing non-intrusive home monitoring systems at the 6th workshop on Energy Data and Analytics (EDA), thereby giving new researchers to the field an eased entry and pointing out several flaws in simplifying assumptions that are often made in the research area. René introduced an algorithm for supply and demand matching of participants in the electrical power grid to the main conference’s audience - the first solution of its kind not only capable of integrating up-to-date information but being scalable to millions of participants as well!
Overall, e-Energy was the perfect opportunity to connect to researchers on the broad area of energy systems, sparking interesting discussions and potential collaborations, and we look forward to maintaining our presence in this valuable community in the future.
