Presentations at CPSL and ACM SAC '25

COMSYS researcher Jan Pennekamp presented two recent collaborations from the Cluster of Excellence, “Internet of Production”, at two international conferences. This research continues our ongoing efforts toward establishing and promoting secure industrial collaboration. These interdisciplinary endeavors showcase the strength of the cluster’s opportunities for close collaboration with other institutes.

At the Conference on Production Systems and Logistics (CPSL 2025), held in Lima, Peru at the Universidad San Ignacio de Loyola, Jan shared insights developed in cooperation with colleagues from DSMA, FIR, and TIM. Their work, called “Privacy-Aware Supply Chain Ratings: Interdisciplinary Research On Collaborative Supply Chain Management”, contributed to ongoing discussions about circular economy strategies and privacy-aware supply chain management—two topics increasingly central to the global manufacturing industry.

Shortly after, Jan took part in the 40th ACM/SIGAPP Symposium on Applied Computing (SAC 2025) in Catania, Sicily, Italy (March 31–April 4). Based on a collaboration with DSMA and WZL-WM, Jan outlined their recent findings in the track on “Data Spaces and Trusted Data Sharing”. This research, with the title “MapXchange: Designing a Confidentiality-Preserving Platform for Exchanging Technology Parameter Maps”, focused on secure mechanisms for inter-organizational knowledge sharing, laying technical foundations for exchanging sensitive information in industrial settings.
