COMSYS students attended MANIAC2013 competition

COMSYS student Asya Mitseva along with PhD student Di Li, participated in MANIAC2013 competition in Berlin. This year’s topic is mobile traffic offloading, a promising model that encourages mobile users to actively forward traffic for backbones and accordingly get (economic) compensation if they successfully complete the transmission. COMSYS team presented a scheme based on both supervised and online learning, which makes mobile users more competitive to get more forwarding opportunities. They enjoyed the competition and the following 87th IETF meeting a lot. This participation is supported financially by UMIC Research Center.
