COMSYS Diploma Student to receive one of three FIfF Thesis Awards

We are very happy to announce that COMSYS Diploma Student Angel Tchorbadjiiski will receive one of the three FIfF Thesis Awards for his Diploma Thesis on Liquid Democracy.

The award ceremony will take place on November 10th at the yearly FIfF conference in Fulda.

The forum of computer scientists for peace and society (Forum InformatikerInnen für Frieden und gesellschaftliche Verantwortung (FIfF) e.V.) decided in an unanimous vote in November 2009 to introduce a thesis award starting 2010 for outstanding theses in the context of computer science and society.

This award aims at encouraging students and scientists pursuing a degree to investigate questions in the context of the relation between computer science and society.In creating this award, the FIfF wants to honor the outstanding contributions of young academics and focus public attention to the topic of this work as well as the achievements of the author.
