Jointly with Prof. Pal Varga from BME, Hungary, who is also involved in EU-funded projects like “Artificial Intelligence in Manufacturing leading to Sustainability and Industry5.0” (AIMS5.0) and Prof. Matthias Brockmann from FH Münster, Germany who used to be the managing director of the Cluster of Excellence “Internet of Production” (IoP), COMSYS calls for submissions to our special session “Collaborative and Inter-organizational Knowledge Generation and Exploitation in the IIoT”. The special sessions aligns perfectly with the research vision of the Internet of Production.
The IEEE International Conference on Industrial Cyber-Physical Systems (ICPS) provides a forum to exchange research and innovation results, lessons learned from industrial practices, such as Cyber-Physical Systems, Digital Economy, the Industrial Internet-of-Things and so on. It annually gathers Industry experts, researchers and academics to share ideas, paradigms and experiences surrounding frontier technologies, breakthroughs, innovative solutions, research results, as well as initiatives related to cyber-physical systems and their applications.
Excerpt from the Call for Papers:
Utilizing information across organizations in the IIoT is essential for advancing innovation and enables enhanced optimization of international supply chains, production value networks, and entire industries. Businesses can leverage decentralized information without compromising privacy through sophisticated data sharing, cooperation, and collaboration, even with untrusted parties. For this, they can apply methods like homomorphic encryption, federated learning, or trusted execution environments. As businesses become more interconnected, inter-organizational collaboration, also as part of industrial ecosystems, is increasingly vital for accelerating digital transformation and unlocking the full potential of shared knowledge. This interconnectedness drives innovation, leading to more resilient, agile, and intelligent industrial systems on a global scale.
Within this scope, topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
● blockchain technology and smart contracts
● case studies and research methodologies
● digital product passport and digital shadows
● FAIR data and data format translation
● generative AI in knowledge representation
● information security and technical security guarantees
● information flows and publish/subscribe messaging
● knowledge graphs and semantic interoperability
● machine learning in inter-organizational data processing
● reputation, procurement, and SCM systems
The page limit is 6 pages IEEE double column and there are two submission deadlines. Please find any additional information at the conference website and direct any questions you might have to Jan Pennekamp. We look forward to your submissions and hope to make this IoP-themed special session a success.
