In recognition of his "outstanding achievement in teaching and learning" Dirk has been awarded the honorary title of an "RWTH Lecturer". The award was presented to him (and eight others) by Professor Doris Klee, Vice-Rector for Human Resources Management and Development, during a ceremony on 2 July.
